We are what we think about and visualize on a sustained basis. Furthermore, we appear to create in the world around us events and circumstances that reflect our focused intent.

People who think good thoughts most of the time, and who choose to fill their minds with happy imagery and the best possibilities are often happy, successful, and healthy. You can find evidence of this statment every day in any town or village on planet earth.

Individuals who think bad thoughts most of the time, and who choose to fill their minds with gloom and doom, are often sad, impoverished, sickly, and miserable. You can find evidence of this statment every day in any town or village on planet earth.

We embody what we think and feel about. We become the thing that we envision most of the time.

What’s more, we tend to attract to us people who share our primary state of mind. And we manifest general circumstances that mirror our most intense thoughts.

It would appear the world is built from “thought substance”.  And it’s very possible that scientists will one day have hard evidence of the existence of this etheric stuff that responds to our thinking.

But even if they don’t, and even if you prefer to resist the idea of thinking substance, how can anyone seriously refute the clear and powerful impact of sustained thought on the outcomes and events that are our life experiences?

For instance, when we intuitively sense a future event and then it comes to pass, what really happens? Are we just sensitive to the impending event, or did our focused thinking manifest it?

Or is life really the dance of both possibilities? I believe it is.

I love philosophy with a passion and while I’m not a student of science and mathematics I also love hearing about discoveries made on those frontiers. But the fact is our grasp of reality is very tiny and most definitely incomplete (to say the least).

It makes perfect sense to me that our consciousness can effect the stuff of Universal potential because I believe our minds are one with the creative source. We are a part of divinity, and thus we share in the creative process.

I’m not suggesting that the ego mind is able to create all things at will. I think the higher part of us is the creative center. But I do believe the ego self has the power to manifest.

In other words we really can create the life events and circumstances we desire. We can manifest reality with our thoughts.

We can heal ourselves, draw to us the perfect mate and live in constant inspiration and creativity.

Current trends in the self development industry are calling this wisdom the law of attraction. That exact term was coined in the English languae (as far as I know) by William Walker Atkinson in 1906, when he wrote his book Thought Vibration.

Many authors since then, including the well-known Norman Vincent Peale (Power Of Positive Thinking) have also used the term. But even prior to the emergence of the phrase law of attraction we have been aware of our innate ability to manifest.

I believe the concept is a natural one. And I believe it is only through intentional oppression, such as that seen in the Dark Ages, the Roman Empire, and the empires of Egypt and Sumer, that humanity has become ignorant of our ability to create reality.

I also think the current movement, worldwide, toward books and films like The Secret is extremely important. This is a time in human evolution where we seem to be moving toward (returning to?) our empowered nature.

If you haven’t given real consideration to the idea that you are co-creator of your life, I urge you to do so now. The whole world changes when you become a deliberate creator of your life, and you are able to help shape the entire human journey for the good of all.

The truth is you’re already creating reality, but this is happening at an unconscious level. Ideally, you’ll embrace your role as creator and begin to intentionally manifest the events, circumstances, and people in your life.

At what time did humanity lose sight of our greatness and begin to buy into the idea that we are born “sinful”? When did people begin to believe that we are a race of wicked war-mongers bent on the destruction of ourselves, each other, and the world around us? And when did we accept the notion that physical existence is mechanistic and bland, offering no gateway to the spiritual greatness that truly surrounds all that is?

People still pay lip service to the idea that anything is possible and I honestly believe human consciousness is on the rise worldwide. But I still wonder where we got sidetracked in the first place.

Historically speaking it looks as if Egypt and Sumer were the beginning of the “we’re all scum please god forgive us movement”. It seems clear the shift of power into the hands of the priesthood was a big part of these eras.

But at what point did people become convinced there is no spirit world, nothing in the dark but shadows, and absolutely nothing real about anything in a child’s imagination? When did homo sapiens make the backslide into obtusity?

How is it possible that grown, intelligent men and women can seriously believe life exists only on planet Earth, nothing significant happens when the body dies, and everything wonderful is just a matter of fate and chance?

To be honest these rhetorical questions could be categorized. Am I on about organized religion or materialism, you might ask.

Frankly I see both polarities as cogs in the same broken wheel.

But on the positive side of things minds are opening once again worldwide. I suspect within the next 50 years acupuncture and crystal therapy will be accepted by mainstream medicine and presidential elections will be legitimate (as in ono-staged) events.

Our minds continue to evolve and the darkness of ignorance is being burned away by the rising dawn. Perhaps in time the memory of such follies as the dark ages and mechanistic science will be totally forgotten in the face of global (interstellar?) peace, prosperity, and enlightenment.

Unless you’re just trying hard to be obtuse, it must be clear that our thoughts have a direct impact on the world around us. In fact this statement is a bit silly…

It’s more accurate to say the world around us is our thoughts.

How we did we become so dense that we even question this fact? Why is it that people need to be helped back to the obvious?

Just mention anything expansive in the company of people who want to hide from the truth and watch them exchange “knowing” looks and eye rolls. It’s as if they’re saying “Well that’s not on the evening news, nor did we learn of it in grade school, so….”

The funny thing is skeptics have alarmingly little - if any - evidence to support a mechanistic world where our thoughts have no impact. And there’s a mountain of data, not to mention the intuitive experience of everyone who breathes, to support the clear fact that what we think becomes real in one form or another.

I’ve never met a person who hasn’t dreamed something and seen it come true at least once. And I don’t know anyone who can’t relate to the experience of being in a public place, thinking of someone they haven’t seen in a while, and then turning the corner and running into this individual.

We are our thoughts and our thoughts are us. I can’t think of a more simple way of stating it.

Incredibly these writings have accurately depicted in extreme, undeniable detail the events in the lives of those about who they were written. In essence, Indian seers write the life stories of people who will live long after them.

These writings have been accurate down to parents’ names, childhood events, and even time of death. It lends credence to the idea of predestination and a future that cannot be changed.

But what about the many premonitions of events that are avoided? Can it really be that life is set on a course we cannot alter?

It’s possible of course. But I also believe it’s possible that every new moment creates a potentially new future.

I think what we think and do changes the future. I could be wrong, and really what’s the big deal if I am?

But I can’t let go of the idea that our conscious choices help to shape our lives and the very world around us.

Have a look at all the promotions for psychic services. It would appear that a significant portion of society has faith in paranormal activity and psychic powers.

This is a great sign of a shift in consciousness. It is comforting to think the paradigm of “only the material world” is fading.

However, I see a reliance on other people to provide my intuition as a bit of a counterproductive measure.

Everyone needs help in life, so it’s fine to get assistance from time to time. But I encourage my readers not to rely solely on the services of other people when it comes to applying psychic vision to your own life.

I am an advocate of the power within us all to see beyond the mundane and into the void. It may take some time to find and develop your inner voice and vision but it is well worth the journey.

In most cases, people who are willing to roll their eyes at the mention of anything “paranormal” have absolutely zero research to support their position. Interestingly, people who do believe in a world that crosses beyond the the drab reality portrayed in the mainstream often have facts, data, and research backing their beliefs.

It must be really hard work stayign so closed minded. Miracles happen all around us every day, and I suspect closing one’s mind to this fact is not easy; it’s likely the cause of all the stress related trauma in the “developed” world.

At this stage in my life I don’t feel like I need to go out of my way to avoid making somebody uncomfortable. This doesn’t mean I’m going out looking for a fight, but I no longer care if the judgmental christian is upset when I talk openly about my views on God (for example).

The world is changing around us and it’s happening fast. There are theories as to what is behind the major shift in consciousness we are currently enjoying, but more important than the why is the simple fact that people are opening up to higher thought.

Twenty years from now things that skeptics balk at today will be commonly accepted. A truly wonderful world is right around the corner; a world where we don’t try to squash the imagination from our children so they fit in at pre-school.

We may now be tolerating the last generation of ultra-obtuse skeptics. In the years haead it’s just gong to be too darn hard to stick your head in the sand and pretend the world is a drab, “normal” place to live.

Is there really a difference in seeing something before it happens and causing it to happen by seeing it? The answer, of course, depends on how far you want to go in terms of philosophical thought.

It’s probably enough to pose the question and allow your mind to flow freely thereafter.

We do have considerable power over our own destiny. Many of us even believe that we create our entire reality via thought and consciousness; within such a paradigm the idea of psychic awareness takes on a whole new meaning.

If there is no “out there”, I really can’t have a premonition. All I can do is project my own thought and then experience the manifestation of this thought.

This is definitely a topic I’ll write more on later. For now it’s enough to just put the idea forward and let it flow.

This is easy for some people, and difficult for others. 

Also, you should know this is a process. To start, you only need to begin listening for your intuitive responses to life’s situations. A great exercise is to start asking yourself questions on a regular basis.

Ask yourself things like “what should I do?”, “why did I just think that?”, “what am I really afraid of here?” etc. In time, you’ll begin to notice the subtle response that occurs to such questions almost immediately.

Most of the time, your intuitive response is the first impulse. The only time when this is not true is when you suffer from extreme fear or neurosis in some area, and thus your first response will be a fear-based reflex action.

Once you can identify your intuition, the next step is to begin trusting it. Again, this can take time as your natural desire might be to overthink and analyze every question or situation.

Don’t beomce impatient, and don’t compare yourself to others. If you put forth a sincere effort, you will begin to trust your inner voice over time.

This is the most basic form of psychic ability or psychic awareness.
